This trap, specially developed in Switzerland, gives a good picture of the flight behavior of this beetle.
A complete set consists of 1 container and 1 red cross trap.
Use 94% ethyl alcohol as attractant, possibly denatured with 1% toluol. This is for sale in the drugstore.
Fill the bait pot to 1/3 with: 1 part water + 1 part ethyl alcohol.
For flight monitoring: use 1 trap per 0.5-1 ha.
Catching beetles: use 8 traps per ha.
User manual is included.
